5th Grade Committee Meeting - Oct. 9th

The next 5th grade committee meeting will be Tuesday October 9th at 9:00 in the media center. Parents who would like to have input into the event planning and fund-raising events for the 5th grade class, are invited to attend.

Mark you calendar - Sept. 26-27 & Oct 1-5

Testing

We will be conducting standardized testing this Wed. and Thurs. 9/26-27 (Cognitive Abilities Tests) and all next week Oct. 1-5 ( Iowa Tests of Basic Skills)

Test will be administered each day from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.

Please make sure that students are on time to school.  It will help their concentration if they are well rested and have a good breakfast and not sugary cereals on test days.  Doctor or dental appointments should not be scheduled on these mornings.

Students should bring 2- regular #2 pencils  (not mechanical type).

Calling all Dads!

We are in need of one more dad to volunteer as a chaperone for our overnight field trip to 4H Rock Eagle camp.  Volunteers will be responsible for the costs associated with their trip which is approximately $65.
This includes bus transportation, meals and lodging.

We leave school Monday, Oct. 29  about 8:30am and return Tuesday Oct. 30 about 3:00pm.  If interested, send a note or leave a phone message with the school secretary.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Are things just not adding up?

*Students now have a starter booklet,
a green directions paper, and a hastily
