repeated addition.

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Our class enjoyed our walk to the pumpkin patch.  Watching the students shop for the best bargain was exciting.  The students had to decide whether or not to buy one large pumpkin or several small ones.  We measured the circumference and weight of our pumpkins.  We wrapped up by writing a letter from the pumpkin's point of view. 

A "Mad Scientist" brews up some fun with matter

Our class had the pleasure of a visit from a "Mad Scientist"!  We explored solids, liquids and gases. Check out the pictures of us making "slime" and viewing the bubbling cauldron experiment.  (The power of dry ice, water and dishwashing liquid!)  A huge thanks to the Mad Scientist and her assistant for a morning of                                                             scientific fun!

Gas Blast!

We were visited by a scientist from High Touch-High Tech for a lesson about matter.  We participated in hands on activities including measuring mass, determining the properties of matter, and bouyancy.
