WELCOME TO THE NEW COMPUTER LAB!!!

Computer We are so excited to have a brand new 21st Century Computer Lab at Due West!  The lab has 27 new Dell computers with headphones and microphones.  We have a Promethean Activboard and 2 new printers.  We have 2 digital cameras. The most exciting part of the new lab is that it is now part of the specials rotation.  Each week every Due West student will have Art, Music, P.E. and Computer Lab as part of the specials rotation.

This  new lab will be a great opportunity for our students to grow in the area of technology and presentation skills.  Our students will be well  prepared to face the challenges of the future.

Spring Break Journal

We are continuing the tradition of making a Spring Break journal.  Each child will create a journal of their Spring Break experiences.  Whether you stay at home and have fun or take a trip, we want to hear about your week.  This is your chance to show your individual creativity.  You can choose the format for your journal.  You may want to use a cute notebook, or make your own notebook.  You can also choose to write your journal in a Power Point or Photo Story format.  You can use clip art, drawings or digital pictures to illustrate your journal.  Some students like to write at the beginning of the day about the previous day and some like to write at the end of the day.  You can choose what works best for you.

We will share journals with the class the day we return from Spring Break.  I can't wait to hear about your week and to see your creativity.
