End of Year Comments

I hope everyone has a fantastic summer vacation.  Stay safe and enjoy the time you have with family and friends.  Don't forget to read this summer and use the math pages I sent home to review and keep your brains growing.  We tend to forget a lot over the summer so play educational games, visit your local library, go to educational wesites etc.

Sincerely,

Lisa Petty

Math Facts Practice

To help your child with addition and subtracting you can make flash cards out of index cards.  Start with 1+0=1, 2+0=2, and so on until  your child masters the zeros and the ones.  Next start with the twos and work on these until your child masters these.  Go no further than addition to ten and then you can begin with subtraction facts to ten. This will take some time so don't get discouraged.
