Here are some additional articulation drill sheets. They can be turned in for extra credit anytime before January 12th
After Thanksgiving break K, 1st and 3rd grade language students will start "Turkey Claus" by Wendi Silvano
In November we will be working on some exciting literacy units.
3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be learning about Native Americans, including Chief Joseph.
Kindergarten and 1st grade students will be reading Turk and Runt by Lisa Wheeler
Wow, August is flying by!!! We've had a great start to the year and I have enjoyed getting to know your sweet kiddos!
This week we are finishing up our back to school reviews - EET (Expanding Expression Tool), Braidy, and a lot of placement discussions for great sound production.
September is a big month. All articulation students will be bringing home monthly homework packets. The purpose of speech homework is to maximize generalization and carry-over of correct sound production. All homework activities are designed to take less than five minutes so students will hopefully practice at least 4 days each week.
Homework guidelines – Each week your child will complete one worksheet. Homework should not take more than 2-5 minutes each night. Students who return their signed homework will earn an extra sticker. (Stickers are saved and used to earn trips to the treasure box or iPad time). I will also be posting extra practice sheets on my blog.
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! My name is Anna Masoudpour and I will be your child’s speech therapist.
A little about me … This is my 18th year as a speech pathologist in Cobb County. Before working in the schools I worked at a hospital (ICU and inpatient rehabilitation), private practice, Babies Can’t Wait, and I spent a summer running a Hippotherapy camp. I have been happily married for fourteen years and have three daughters ~ all in middle school this year!!! When I’m not working I love spending time with my family, playing tennis, going to the lake, and reading.
A few things to note ~
With your support, I know that your child will make great progress and hopefully have a lot of fun in the process!!! I’m looking forward to a great year!
Sincerely,
Anna Masoudpour Ed.S., CCC-SLP
