WIth Fall in the air...Conference Week must be swiftly approaching!

This year for Fall Conferences we are going to use Sign Up Genius to schedule all the conferences. This will allow you, as the parent, to select a time that works for you and not having to reschedule with the teacher. If you have siblings here at Due West, you can schedule them back to back without the teacher’s assistance. We feel that this tool makes conference scheduling easier for you, the parents, and for us, the teachers.

Please look for an email with a link to your teacher’s Sign-Up Genius page on September 30th at approximately 2:45 pm.

CCSD Fall Break is the week of September 23-27. Schools are closed this week.

Conference Week Carline Help We are in need of some parent volunteers to help in morning carpool line the week of conferences (October 14-18) from 7:10 – 7:50 am. Parents/Guardians,

Many of you have expressed interest in a resource for Social Studies you can use at home. Click the link below. It will take you to your child's CCSD Clever log in screen. Once there, click "Log in with Active Directory." For the username type their first name, a period and then last name (firstname.lastname). The password is the same they use at school. (If they don't remember it, email me and I will send it privately.). This should take you directly to Studies Weekly, the resource the county has purchased for Social Studies instruction. Click on the fourth grade version of the periodical and then the specific week -- right now we are working through "Week 2" (I will let you know when that changes). Once into the specific week, a variety of activities should become available for you to use at home to support what your child is learning at school.

Progress Reports are coming!!!!!!!!!!

Progress reports come home Friday, September 6. The report is a snapshot of where each student stands in each academic area. Please log in to ParentVue for more detail behind each grade.

Over the weekend, please review the report and use it as a springboard for discussion about areas of success and areas needing some improvement. Taking a look at returned work may be helpful as well. Then, sign the progress report and send it back to school on Monday, September 9, 2019.
