Hi Parents! I hope that everyone had a fabulous Winter Break. I very much enjoyed relaxing with my family and hope you did too! With the way time is flying, it won't be long until Spring Break. In several of my younger groups, we have been doing a unit on "The Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats. Many of the students are familiar with this story. The love anything that involves snow! It's funny to see how they react when Peter, the main character, puts a snowball in his pocket to save for later. I always like to see if they can guess what will happen next. We have been discussing the story elements, problems, possible solutions, sequencing the story, and retelling the story. Hopefully we won't have anymore snow days this year!
